Efektivitas Model Pembelajaran Polya Terhadap Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika Siswa dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Cerita Materi Bangun Ruang di Kelas V SDN Cilegon IX

Abstract


The research is motivated by the low problem-solving abilities of students in learning mathematics. One effort that can be done to improve problem-solving skills is by choosing the right learning model. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach with experimental methods. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach with experimental methods. The research design uses a Pre-Experimental Design in the form of One Group Pretest-Posttest. Data collection techniques in this study were in the form of tests and questionnaires. The sample used in this study was 20 students. The purpose of this study was to find out 1) the effectiveness of the Polya learning model on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities in solving story problems on geometric material and 2) Student responses related to factors that influence mathematical problem-solving abilities. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive and inferential statistics. Based on the results of the Mann-Whitney U test, the Asymp value was obtained. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000. This shows that 0.000 <0.05 which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus it can be concluded that the Polya learning model is effective in increasing students' mathematical problem-solving abilities in solving story problems on geometric material.
