Upaya Meningkatkan Kemampuan Menendang Bola Jarak Jauh dengan Kekuatan Otot Tungkai pada Siswa Kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kelapadua

Abstract


The lack of knowledge, technical skills and facilities in soccer games and the learning resources used are also only with textbooks causing during PJOK learning students to just play around. Leg muscle strength training is an exercise to improve kicking ability because strength is one of the most important factors in performance and determines the quality of a person's physical condition which is needed in almost all sports. The approach used by researchers in this study is a qualitative approach with the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. The subjects used in this study were fifth grade students of SD Negeri Kelapadua with 20 male and 18 female students. To collect data, researchers used observation, tests, documentation and interview techniques. The data on the value of the long distance kicking ability test at the pre-cycle stage was an average of 43.13 in the very poor category. In cycle I, the researcher gave a similar test to the pre-cycle at the end of the lesson and students got an average score of 63.73. This value has increased compared to the pre-cycle. However, the value in cycle I was not good enough and was still below the school's Maximum Completion Criteria of 70. Furthermore, the researchers conducted cycle II, the class average score obtained in cycle II was 72.05. The implementation of leg muscle strength training in learning also increased. In cycle I, leg muscle training obtained a percentage of 64.21% and in cycle II obtained a percentage of 76.31%. This shows that leg muscle training can improve students' long distance kicking ability.
