Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Make a Match untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar IPS Kelas IV

Abstract


This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in social studies lessons, due to the lack of variation in the use of learning models, especially the dominance of lecture methods that make students saturated. This has an impact on the ability of students who do not reach school standards. This research uses a Make a Match type cooperative learning model to improve learning outcomes in social studies lessons. The objectives of this learning model include (1) describing the application of the Make a Match model, material about my proud hero, (2) knowing the improvement of student learning in class and the learning outcomes of class of IV-A students. Students of class IV-A of Serang 11 State Elementary School were used as participants. This type of research is qualitative research, where the research method used is Kemmis and McTaggart-type class action research. Data collection techniques carried out by researchers are observation, interviews, and tests. The results showed that in the pre-cycle stage, only 25% of students graduated while 75% of students did not graduate. In cycle I, the percentage of students who graduated increased to 60%, while those who did not graduate to 40%. In cycle II, the percentage of students who graduate increases to 90%, while those who do not graduate are only 10%. This shows that this study succeeded in improving student learning outcomes gradually in accordance with the expected goals. The implications of this research can be the basis for other similar studies and other innovations for researchers on relevant issues.
