Penggunaan Model Mind Mapping untuk Meningkatkan Membaca Pemahaman Dongeng SDN Ranca Tales

Abstract


This research was motivated by the results of the researchers' observations on the use of mind-mapping models to improve reading comprehension of the fourth-grade students of SDN Ranca Tales, Serang City. Based on the results of observations, and interviews, which were carried out at the time of the study, it was found that the reading comprehension ability of fourth-grade students was not maximized. So the researchers conducted tutoring conducted by two students with the initials FG and MCW within three days. The researchers during the tutoring used a mind mapping model to improve the ability to read and understand fairy tales. The formulation of the problem in this study is regarding the use of mind mapping models to improve reading comprehension of squirrel and fish fairy tales in fourth-grade students of SDN Ranca Tales Serang City. The purpose of this research is to find out and describe how to use a mind-mapping model to improve reading comprehension of squirrel and fish fairy tales in fourth-grade students of SDN Ranca Tales Serang City. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The object of this research is the teacher and two fourth-grade students. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews and questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that the use of the mind-mapping model to improve reading comprehension of the squirrel and fish fairy tales was carried out by two fourth-grade students at SDN Ranca Tales Serang City. It can be concluded that the use of the mind mapping model to improve reading comprehension has been able to improve reading comprehension of the squirrel and fish fairy tales for students with the initials FG and MCW.
