Focus and Scope
AIMS : The Journal Gastronomy Tourism publishes articles based on research from researchers, teachers, lecturers, students, and education observers.
Contributions are expected from senior researchers, project managers, research administrators and PhD students at advanced stages of their research, representing both public organizations and private industry. Equally, the journal if intended for scholars and students, reseachers working at research organizations and government agencies, and also for enterprises undertaking applied R&D to lead innovations.
The editorial contents and elements that comprise the journal include:
- Theoretical articles
- Empirical studies
- Practice-oriented papers
- Case studies
- Review of papers, books, and resources.
As far as the criteria for evaluating and accepting submissions is concerned, a rigorous review process will be used. Submitted papers will, prior to the formal review, be screened so as to ensure their suitability and adequacy to the journal. In addition, an initial quality control will be performed, so as to ensure matters such as language, style of references and others, comply with the journal´s style.
The below mentioned areas are just indicative. The editorial board also welcomes innovative articles that redefine any Science and Technology field.

Peer Review Process
The peer review process is to ensure the quality of manuscripts before publication. Generally, the submitted manuscripts will be reviewed by two to three experts in related research areas. They will evaluate the submitted manuscripts for the originality, validity and significance and help the editorial team determine whether the manuscripts should be accepted for publication.
All the submissions to The Journal Gastronomy Tourism will undergo double-blind peer review process, which means the reviewer identity is concealed from the author, and vice versa, throughout the review process.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
The published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.
History
The Journal Gastronomy Tourism (Gastur) has been published since 2014 using the Open Journal System. Formerly, Gastur was in Bahasa Indonesia. But since December 2019, all articles will be published in English.
The Journal Gastronomy Tourism (GASTUR) is a national journal intended as a communication forum for Gastronomical and other scientists from many practitioners who use Gastronomy in research. Gastur received a manuscript in areas of study Gastronomic widely, and multidisciplinary based on gastronomical studies derived from problems of eduaction, Learning and Science.

Before going to review process, all manuscripts will be checked that they are free from plagiarism practice (less than 20% similarities). If there an indication of plagiarism (higher than 20% similarities), the manuscript will instantly be rejected.

Publication Ethics
For all parties involved in the process of publishing (authors, Editorial Board, and reviewers), it is necessary to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior. To guarantee high ethical standards, Science Publishing Group has developed international standards for all the parties. Science Publishing Group expects all the parties to commit to these standards.
- Authors must certify that their manuscripts are their original work. Plagiarism, Duplicate, Data Fabrication and Falsification, and Redundant Publications are forbidden.
- Authors must certify that the manuscript has not previously been published and is not currently being considered for publication elsewhere.
- If the authors have used the work and/or words of others, the authors must ensure that the work and/or words of others are appropriately cited or quoted and identify all sources used in the creation of their manuscripts.
- When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author's obligation to promptly notify the Journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
- Authors must notify Science Publishing Group of any conflicts of interest.
- The Editorial Board must keep information pertaining to all submitted manuscripts confidential.
- The Editorial Board is responsible for making publication decisions for submitted manuscripts.
- The Editorial Board must strive to meet the needs of readers and authors.
- The Editorial Board must evaluate manuscripts only for their intellectual content.
- The Editorial Board must strive to constantly improve their journals.
- The Editorial Board must maintain the integrity of the academic record.
- The Editorial Board must disclose any conflicts of interest and preclude business needs from compromising intellectual and ethical standards.
- The Editorial Board must always be willing to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when needed.
- Reviewers must keep information pertaining to the manuscript confidential.
- Reviewers must bring to the attention of the Editor Board any information that may be a reason to reject publication of a manuscript.
- Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts only for their intellectual content.
- Reviewers must objectively evaluate the manuscripts based only on their originality, significance and relevance to the domains of the journal.
- Reviewers must notify Science Publishing Group of any conflicts of interest.

Author(s) should not pay any processing fees and submissions fees for article processing (free of charge). Readers can read and download any full-text articles for free of charge.
