Pengaruh Media Flipbook Berbasis Kearifan Lokal Makanan Khas Kendal Terhadap Keterampilan Menulis Teks Prosedur

Abstract


In the Indonesian language learning process for fourth-grade students, many students still struggle with writing clear, systematic procedural texts that adhere to the correct language rules, and teachers have not been using innovative learning media. This study aims to examine the use and impact of Flipbook media based on local wisdom of typical Kendal food in teaching procedural text writing for the fourth-grade students at SDN 1 Penyangkringan, Kendal. The subjects of this study were 25 fourth-grade students. To achieve this goal, a quantitative research design with a pre-experimental approach was used, specifically a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data collection was conducted using observation and test techniques, which included pre-tests and post-tests. The instruments used were an observation sheet for learning and test questions. The results of this study showed that the observation of learning implementation achieved 100% as planned in the teaching module, with an average achievement score of 96.25. This indicates that the use of the Flipbook media based on the local wisdom of Kendal's typical food was implemented very well. The t-test results showed t-count = 14.57 and t-table = 2.064, so t-count > t-table. This indicates a significant effect of using the Flipbook media based on the local wisdom of typical food from Kendal on students' procedural writing skills. The conclusion is that Flipbook media based on local wisdom of typical food of Kendal provides benefits for both students and teachers in using it as a learning medium. Therefore, the use of local culture-based media is an effective alternative in the Indonesian learning process, especially in teaching writing skills.
