Upaya Meningkatkan Keaktifan Belajar Siswa Melalui Model Pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament (TGT) di Kelas V SDN Kadumerak 1

Abstract


The research background begins with the low participation of students during the learning process. On the other hand, students are very interested in taking quizzes which are routinely carried out at the end of learning activities, as one of the evaluation methods. Therefore, to overcome this problem, a study on the application of solutions to these problems was carried out in the form of using the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model to stimulate increased student activity in the learning process. The syntax in this learning model consists of activities: class presentations, groups, games, matches, and team recognition. This research was conducted using the classroom action research method with the Kemmis & Taggart cycle model. The research took place in 2 cycles with a total of 35 respondents in class 5 SDN Kadumerak 1. Data collection used observation and documentation methods. Based on the research results, the activity of class 5 students at SDN Kadumerak 1 can be increased. The success of this research can also be seen from the final achievement of the criteria for student activity, namely in cycle II of 77.03% of cycle I of 52.81%. In cycle II the majority of students got the very active criterion predicate. Therefore, this shows that the activity of students in class 5 of SDN Kadumerak 1 can be increased by learning using the application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model.
