Penerapan Media PowerPoint pada Pembelajaran IPS untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa di Kelas IV SDN Serang 11

Abstract


In a learning process there must be students who have a lack of ability in understanding, when students face subjects, especially social studies. Students have difficulty in understanding the content of the material, because they have a lack of understanding of the material, students become confused during the process of working on questions given by the teacher. The use of learning media in learning activity techniques can channel new enthusiasm and interest, form a student stimulus in learning, thus making influences on the psychological activeness of students. Learning media as a forum to realise students to understand, develop material in an interesting to exciting way, facilitate data interpretation and conclude material. The use of modern media or tools in learning does not intend to shift the past way of learning, but rather improve and ensure the delivery of material summarised in PowerPoint. Therefore, resulting in the learning process with PowerPoint media, this concept has been made in verbal form can be seen in visual form, so that the content of the material conveyed makes it clearer. This research was conducted in class IV of SDN Serang 11 by using observation and tests to see the success of media utilisation. Researchers took this case in the form of Classroom Action Research (PTK) and consisted of 2 cycles. Cycle I research students get an average score of 69.25 and the percentage of student completeness is 52.5%. Cycle II research increased, namely students got an average score of 86 and the percentage of student completeness was 80% and had successfully achieved the expected results. The results of this study indicate that PowerPoint media can improve students' social studies learning outcomes.
