IJAL publishes three issues a year; January, May and September. So If you send a manuscript 

1) From February to May, it will have an initial screening and review in June and if accepted it will be for September edition 

2) From June to September, it will have an initial screening and review in October, and if accepted it will be for January edition

3) From October to January, it will have an initial screening and review in February and if accepted, it will be for May edition
