Abstract

This study aims to explore the learning styles and Academic Self-Efficacy which play an important role in student’s critical thinking skills in learning science based on local wisdom. The number of research samples was 202 students of Elementary Teacher Education (PGSD) in Applied Science material. This study applies quantitative research with ex-post-facto methods. The research data will be analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics through a linear regression test. The research p intercept=0.571 is the magnitude corellation of the influence of learning styles on critical thinking skills. The significance value calculated as in the table is p<0.001. The relationship between Academic Self-Efficacy and learning styles can improve student’s critical thinking skills around p=0.054. Academic Self-Efficacy and learning styles play a major role in improving students' critical thinking skills in learning applied science based on local wisdom. Students' critical thinking skills has increased in proportion to the increase in Academic Self-Efficacy and student learning styles.
