Pengaruh Harga Diri terhadap Kekerasan Emosional dalam Berpacaran pada Dewasa Muda di Kota Bandung

Abstract


This study aims to obtain empirical data on the effect of self-esteem towards emotional abuse in dating young adults in Bandung City. The samples taken in this study were 270 respondents using purposive sampling technique with the characteristics of young adults aged 18-25 years, being in a relationship of at least 3 months, domiciled in the city of Bandung. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The design in this study uses a oneway correlational design. The data analysis technique in this study used simple linear regression analysis. From the test results obtained data on the demographic distribution of female sex as much as 77.78 percent, and 22.22 percent are men. As much as 3.33 percent of the sample has a low level of self-esteem, and 0.74% with very low self-esteem, while 3.70 percent of the sample has a high level of emotional abuse, and 2.96 percent is very high. The results showed that self-esteem had an effect of 29.4 percent on emotional abuse. From the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the self-esteem variable on the emotional abuse variable with an opposite or negative relationship

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh data empiris mengenai Pengaruh Harga Diri terhadap Kekerasan Emosional dalam berpacaran pada Dewasa Muda di Kota Bandung. Sampel yang diambil pada penelitian ini adalah sejumlah 270 responden menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan karakteristik dewasa muda berusia 18-25 tahun, sedang menjalin hubungan berpacaran minimal 3 bulan, berdomisili di Kota Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner. Desain pada penelitian ini menggunakan desain korelasional satu arah. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Dari hasil pengujian didapatkan data sebaran demografis jenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 77,78 persen, dan 22,22 persen adalah laki-laki. Sebanyak 3,33 persen sampel memeroleh tingkat harga diri rendah, dan 0,74 persen dengan harga diri sangat rendah, sedangkan 3,70 persen sampel berada pada tingkat kekerasan emosional tinggi, dan 2,96 persen sangat tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan harga diri memberikan pengaruh sebesar 29,4 persen terhadap kekerasan emosional. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan maka dapat disimpulkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan dari variabel harga diri terhadap variabel kekerasan emosional dengan hubungan yang berlawanan atau negatif
