EFEKTIVITAS PENDIDIKAN GIZI MELALUI MEDIA VIDEO DALAM MENINGKATKAN PENGETAHUAN GIZI ANAK USIA DINI

Abstract


The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of using video media in
improving nutritional knowledge of children aged 5-6 years. This study uses quantitativeresearch with a quasi-experimental method. The sample in this study amounted to 60 childrenaged 5-6 years who came from two different schools in Teluk Pucung, North Bekasi, BekasiCity. 30 children as the experimental group came from YAIZNA Early Childhood Educationand 30 children as the control group came from RA. Srikandi II. Data were tested statistically using the Mann-Whitney U statistical test. The results of the study in the experimental group obtained students who were in the very mastering criteria of 87%, enough to master 10%, and not yet mastered 3%. While the posttest data in the control group was obtained by students who were in the very mastering criteria of 53%, enough to master 27%, and not yet mastered 20%. Furthermore, the results of statistical tests using the Mann-Whitney U test obtained a significance value (Sig. (2-tailed)) <0.05. Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the use of video media on improving nutrition knowledge in the experimental group children.
