Cognitive Diagnostic Assessment Development and Aplication of a Three Tier Test Diagnostic Instrument to Assess Conceptual understanding

Abstract


Penilaian diagnostik kognitif (CDA) adalah penilaian kelas penting yang dapat memberikan informasi diagnostik yang sangat spesifik. Untuk mendukung penerapan praktik CDA oleh guru di kelas sains, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen diagnostik tes tiga tingkat untuk menganalisis tingkat pemahaman. Tes diagnostik tiga tingkat dikembangkan menggunakan kerangka teori oleh Treagust. Tingkat pertama menilai pengetahuan konten – di tingkat kedua, alasan dipilih untuk jawaban konten – dan tingkat ketiga memungkinkan siswa untuk memilih seberapa yakin mereka terhadap jawaban mereka untuk dua tingkat pertama. Penelitian ini merupakan pengembangan. Pengembangannya mempunyai beberapa tahapan seperti a) studi pendahuluan, b) perancangan rancangan produk, c) pengembangan produk. Revisi produk dilakukan pada tahap pengembangan produk. Instrumen akhir terdiri dari 50 item. Instrumen diagnostik tes tiga tingkat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini telah dinilai valid dan reliabel. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP di Cilegon. Uji diagnostik tiga tingkat terhadap 62 siswa dari dua kelas menunjukkan kategori memahami materi sebesar 34,19%, kategori memahami sebagian 41,14%, dan kategori tidak memahami materi sebesar 17,65%. Variasi hasil penelitian penilaian diagnostik kognitif ini menunjukkan bahwa soal-soal yang dikembangkan berfungsi dengan baik sebagai penilaian diagnostik kognitif.
