Pengetahuan Lingkungan dan Pendidikan Karakter terhadap Keterlibatan Mahasiswa dalam Proyek Keberlanjutan: Peran Sikap sebagai Mediator

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam proyek berkelanjutan di lingkungan kampus, dengan fokus pada pengaruh pendidikan karakter dan pengetahuan lingkungan serta peran mediasi sikap. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Partial Least Squares (PLS). Sampel terdiri dari 260 mahasiswa di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) yang dipilih secara acak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter memiliki pengaruh langsung yang signifikan terhadap keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam proyek berkelanjutan, dan sikap memediasi hubungan antara pendidikan karakter dan keterlibatan mahasiswa. Selain itu, pengetahuan lingkungan tidak memiliki pengaruh langsung pada keterlibatan mahasiswa, tetapi pengaruhnya dimediasi sepenuhnya melalui sikap. Implikasinya, meningkatkan pendidikan karakter dan pengetahuan lingkungan di kalangan mahasiswa dapat menjadi strategi yang efektif untuk memengaruhi sikap mereka terhadap praktik keberlanjutan. Langkah-langkah konkret yang dapat diambil perguruan tinggi adalah merancang program pendidikan karakter terarah, menyusun program pendidikan lingkungan yang mendalam, dan melakukan penelitian lanjutan untuk memahami lebih dalam faktor-faktor
