PEMANTAUAN PERUBAHAN GARIS PANTAI DAN PENGGUNAAN LAHAN PULAU TUNDA PADA 2013-2021
Abstract
Tunda Island is a small island located in the northern offshore area of Banten Bay, Serang Regency. The island is surrounded by active aquatic activities and is a strategic island, the condition of this location makes this island has a high level of vulnerability in its existence, one of which is a place for garbage to accumulate during the western season to cause coastal sedimentation that causes shifts in the coastline. Changes in coastlines affect land use, where changes in coastlines will make the area of the island decrease or expand, this causes an imbalance between population growth and land availability. This study aims to determine the causes of changes in coastline and land use for eight years, as well as to determine the effectiveness of the use of remote sensing in monitoring and research using earth data. Knowing the cause can help researchers produce data on change, where the data can show the condition of the island that shrinks every year, seen from the total area of the island in 2013 which ranged from 30,740,024,889 m2 to 29,982,965,316 m2. Meanwhile, land use has expanded by around 3-4% for built-up land, coastal vegetation and open land, and has decreased by about 5% in mangrove forest areas. This study concludes that Tunda Island needs more attention to develop its potential to remain sustainable, besides that the data produced in this study can be a reference in managing the local area as well as to anticipate disasters and open investment opportunities in the future.
