Peningkatan Prestasi Belajar Siswa Menggunakan Model STAD Berbantuan Media Geoboard Pada Pembelajaran Matematika SD
Abstract
This research aims to improve the learning achievement of 4th grade elementary school students on the material properties of flat shapes through the application of the Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning model using geoboard media. The research approach used was classroom action research (PTK) which was carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research were 33 grade 4 students at SD Negeri 1 Tanjung, Banyumas, Central Java. Research instruments include observation sheets, learning evaluation tests, and student response questionnaires. The data obtained was analyzed quantitatively descriptively to determine increases in learning achievement and changes in student learning behavior. The research results show that the use of the STAD model with geoboard media can improve student learning achievement in the material on the properties of flat shapes. This is shown by the increase in the average score of student learning evaluation tests from cycle I to cycle II. Apart from that, students' responses to the use of geoboard media in learning were also very positive, as shown by increased motivation and active participation of students during the learning process. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that the STAD model with geoboard media is effective in improving the learning achievement of grade 4 elementary school students on the properties of flat shapes. It is recommended for teachers to integrate the STAD model and geoboard media in mathematics learning for similar material to improve student learning outcomes.
