Book Creator bagi Pendidik sebagai Media Pembelajaran Literasi dalam Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka

Abstract


In the disruption 4.0 era, the education world demands educators' proficiency in utilizing technology-based learning media. SD Negeri 8 Metro Barat is a school equipped with internet facilities unfortunately that have been utilized by only several educators. However, most educators still use conventional teaching methods due to the lack of knowledge regarding appropriate applications for learning content. Meanwhile, the school has piloted the Merdeka Curriculum and plans to implement it comprehensively in 2024. It is a challenge for educators to create interesting and interactive internet-based learning media. The purpose of this service is to facilitate educators at SD Negeri 8 Metro Barat Metro City in utilizing Book Creator as a digital learning media in the learning process, to provide effective training of Book Creator as a digital learning media to increase understanding and explore the potential of educators and students, and to motivate the educators to increase their knowledge of digital learning media through Book Creator to collaborate with students in global competition. This community service activity used lecturing and participatory methods. This community service has produced educators who can create fun, easy, and interesting learning media by using Book Creator. It can be considered one of the creative literacy media that educators can use in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. By utilizing Book Creator effectively, schools can demonstrate their commitment to continuously innovate and improve the quality of education, creating an inspiring and inclusive learning environment for students.
