Bermain Sambil Belajar tentang Jenis-Jenis Ikan: Program Pengabdian Pengembangan Aplikasi Android di Sekolah Dasar

Abstract


This community service program aimed to explore the potential for fun and effective learning at the elementary school level by combining play activities while learning about fish species using Android applications. In today's educational context, the use of technology in the learning process is becoming increasingly important to capture student interest and engagement. In this study, we designed and implemented an Android application that allows primary school students to learn about different types of fish in an interactive and fun way. This program adopts a DBR (Design-Based Research) approach in order to explore the potential of playful learning while learning about fish species using an Android application in an elementary school environment and was implemented in grade 2 of the Elementary Lab School of UPI Serang Campus. DBR is a method that focuses on design development and iterative iteration to improve the quality of learning solutions through combining theory and practice. This service method uses the play while learning method in the classroom to introduce and understand various types of fish among elementary school students. The results of this research show that the use of Android applications in the learning process in elementary schools can provide a more interesting and effective learning experience. The application encourages students' active interaction with the subject matter and increases their motivation to continue learning.
