PENGGUNAAN TEKNOLOGI INFORMASI DAN KOMUNIKASI DALAM PENGAJARAN: SURVEI PADA GURU-GURU SAINS SMP DI INDONESIA

Abstract


ABSTRAK

Saat ini, informasi dan teknologi komunikasi (ICT) menjadi alat yang sangat diperlukan untuk belajar, khususnya multimedia komputer dan sumber daya internet. Makalah ini menyelidiki penggunaan ICT dalam pembelajaran oleh guru sains di sekolah menengah pertama dari berbagai provinsi di Indonesia. Ada 151 guru yang berpartisipasi dalam studi ini menggunakan metode campuran, yang mereka diminta untuk mengisi kuesioner dan menjawab beberapa pertanyaan terbuka. Di banyak tempat, ilmu guru mulai sudah mulai menggunakan ICT dalam pengajaran dan kegiatan belajar, baik di laboratorium kelas atau komputer, serta penggunaan internet sebagai sumber belajar. Ada beberapa masalah yang terungkap disebabkan oleh hal-hal teknis (listrik, fasilitas hard ware, virus komputer) atau yang berhubungan dengan keterampilan dan isu-isu pengelolaan seperti pelatihan, penyusunan dan penggunaan yang efektif.

ABSTRACT

Currently, information and communication technology (ICT) is becoming indispensable tool for learning, particularly computer multimedia and internet resources. This paper investigates the use of ICT in learning by science teachers at lower secondary school from various provinces in Indonesia. There were 151 teachers who participated in the study using mixed methods, which they were required to complete the questionnaire and answer several open-ended questions. In many places, science teachers begun have started using ICT in their teaching and learning activities, either in classroom or computer laboratory, as well as the use of internet as learning resources. There were some problems revealed which were caused by technical things (electricity, hard ware facilities, computer virus) or related to skills and managing issues such as training, preparation and its effective use.
