Abstract


Tulisan ini membahas masalah observasi dan konsep siswa aktif. Observasi dipengaruhi oleh pengakaman, pengetahuan, dan harapan si pengamata; karena itu kemampuan observasi ini tidak mudah dilatihkan. Belajar aktif perlu dikembangkan pada siswa pendidikan dasar dan menengah dengan bantuan guru. Belajar aktif memberikan siswa kesempatan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir melalui kegiatan-kegiatan yang melibatkan keterampilan proses. Dipertahanyakan peranan IKIP dalam membantu guru agar memahami dan menjadi terbiasa dengan belajar aktif secara mental.

ABSTRACT

The article deals with the problem of observations and the concept of students' active learning. Observations are influenced by observers' experiences, knowledge, and expectancies; therefore, they are not easily acquired. Active learning should be emphasized among primary and secondary students with teachers' helps. Active learning provides students with opportunities for developing their thinking abilities through process skill's activities or tasks. The writer questioned IKIP's roles in helping teachers to comprehend and be familiar with students' active learning, mentally.
