Peace Guidance for Developing Forgiveness Characters For Youth: Literature Review

Utari Widya Pratami

Abstract

Strength of character encompasses the virtues and positive traits that guide individuals toward moral excellence, manifesting in their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The development of good character is crucial during adolescence, a period when individuals are highly susceptible to external influences, both positive and negative. This article explores the importance of character building in teenagers and presents peace counseling as an effective strategy for fostering strong character. Peace counseling encourages adolescents to cultivate a peaceful mindset, which in turn can reduce tendencies to harm others both verbally and non-verbally. This approach provides a valuable framework for counselors aiming to guide teenagers towards positive personal development and moral integrity
