Buku Harian dan Karakteristik Siswa di Kelas II Sekolah Dasar: Studi Narrative Inquiry

Abstract


The purpose of writing in general is to explain or inform, influence the reader, tell something, convince, and describe something. For students with introverted characteristics, diaries are an alternative way to express feelings. Introvert has a closed meaning. They tend to be aloof; quiet type; not friendly; and anti-social. There is still a lack of specific research on students with introverted characteristics, making teachers confused about how to understand the students themselves. The importance of this research is to be discussed so that teachers have other ways to understand students who have introverted characteristics. Also as a way to stop discrimination against introverted students who are actually people who pay attention and like to analyze the situation in their own way. With a qualitative approach, it will produce in-depth and meaningful data. Narrative Inquiry is a method used by researchers because individuals have stories based on past life experiences. Second-grade students as the subject, carrying out narrative research the researcher builds close bonds with students. Telling stories is something that naturally happens in human life. Everyone has a story they tell other people. By producing data that diaries have a relationship with the characteristics of introverted students. The diary can be a sharing place for introverted students to better understand themselves. Things that are difficult for him to say, he can write in the diary. Although the results cannot be seen quickly, writing a diary is a suitable thing for us to introduce to introverted students. When they find it difficult to convey something to others, diaries are the choice.
