LATIHAN PROPRIOCEPTIVE NEUROMUSCULAR FACILITATION DAN WEIGHT TRAINING METODE DALAM MENCEGAH TERJADINYA CEDERA OTOT PADA ATLET SOFTBALL

Untuk mencapai hasil yang maksimal, atlet softball junior harus memiliki kekuatan otot dan kelenturan yang baik, Penelitian ini berupaya untuk mengetahui efektifitas latihan Tahap Persiapan Khusus dengan menggunakan metode weight training dan latihan Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF). Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi eksperimental dengan desain pre-test dan post-test. Subjek penelitian sejumlah 30 partisipan dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Tahap Persiapan Khusus sebanyak 3 kali seminggu selama 12 minggu pelatihan. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah hand dynamometer dan expanding dynamometer untuk mengukur kekuatan otot dan sit and reach test. Setiap atlet diukur kekuatan dan kelenturan ototnya sebelum dan sesudah latihan. hasil pengukuran dianalisis dengan uji-t berpasangan (p ≤ 0,05). Hasil pada kelompok tahap persiapan khusus menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan; hand grip kanan 10,7% dan kiri 10,3%, pull 15,3%, push 13,7%, dan fleksibilitas 37,0%. Sedangkan pada kelompok konvensional hasilnya menunjukkan; Hand grip kanan 5,4% dan kiri 2,9%, pull 6,4%,push 4,9%, dan fleksibilitas 10,6%. Kesimpulannya, metode latihan beban dan PNF pada latihan Tahap persiapan Khusus dapat meningkatkan kekuatan dan kelenturan otot, serta lebih efektif diterapkan dibandingkan metode latihan konvensional.
