ANALISIS PERSPEKTIF PSIKOLOGIS TENTANG PROFIL PELATIH SUKSES DAN IMPLIKASINYA DALAM PENELITIAN KEPELATIHAN OLAHRAGA

Abstract


Tujuan pokok artikel kajian ini adalah untuk memetakan karakteristik-karak-teristik psikologis yang perlu dimiliki oleh seorang pelatih agar sukses dalam melakukan pembinaan olahraga terhadap atletnya, terutama dalam cabang olahraga beregu. Tulisan diinspirasi oleh hasil penelitian Vallee dan Bloom (2005) yang telah menemukan empat karakateristik psikologis pelatih yang telah berhasil dalam pembinaan olahraga prestasi di tingkat Perguruan Tinggi dan berhasil mengantarkan atlet-atletnya untuk akses di zona internasional, yaitu karakteristik atribut pelatih (coaches’ attributes), pertumbuhan individual (individual growth), keterampilan organisasional (organizational skills), dan visi (vision). Tentu saja tulisan ini sangat diskusibel dan diharapkan dapat memberikan dorongan-dorongan implikatif untuk melakukan penelitian baik dalam bentuk reflikatif maupun pengembangan.
